What bands would you like to see at the venue
Ok. We want to know what bands you would like to see at the all new Bridge House 2. Whether it be old favourites like RDB, or new bands that some of you may have seen that you know the old Bridge House gang would love to watch. We feel that it is important to remain as progressive as possible just like the old Bridge House was because it is new talent that makes the live scene prosper. Feel free to air your views Little t

Hi George. Thanks for the post. Can you provide links to sites of these bands so that everyone can sample their goods please. It would be great to find out how many of the older acts that played The Bridge House are still going today. We would love to get some of them back down to E16 to play in BH2. If anyone fancies doing some research for us that would be great. Cheers

Hiya all just a quickie, there is extensive history notes on Lea Hart on the original Bridge House site's forum. Trawl through it and you will find them. With regards to bands playing at BH2, I've been told that Nately should be playing there towards the end of Feb, start of Mar. If so please venture along to see them as they are well worth it. Visit them on their web-site nately.net and listen to their music. Regards to all and see you tonight. Perry & Liz |

Rumours started last night that maybe "National Gold" and, or possibly "Uncle Sam" could resurface. Lets just hope that the buzz continues and some old bands do reform and play the new venue.

Great to hear of another music venue getting up and running ... wishing you all the luck in the world with it, I hope it becomes a huge success like the Bridge House before it!!! Re the mention of Uncle Sam .. no need to reform they have never been away, and I am sure would love to come and play the new venue. How about the Inmates (who also played the old Bridge House) or their lead singer Bill Hurley (who Terry said great things about in the Bridge House Book) with his other band the Enforcers?

Hi Tony It would be my absolute pleasure to put Charlie the vocalist and bass player with Uncle Sam in touch with you. Bill Hurely line ups (Inmates & Enforcers)I can liaise with for you. I am not an agent or anything you understand just someone who does their bookings so they have time to play and be talented, (which I certainly am not! )Will be in touch by email if that is ok Tony? Hi, Jamie's group mary-jayne are a very good 3 piece group, www.mary-jayne.co.uk and well worth trying to get to play at the venue. No chance of Filthy McNasty getting together to play again is there? All the best - Steve (an old Jerry the Ferret fan, and regular lol) |

Hi Steve Welcome to our message board. I will try contacting Chris Thompson via his web site today and report back with any news. Ive had a quick look on the internet about "Filthy McNasty" but it seems that the band are no longer playing? If anyone out there knows different please let me know so i can delve further. Once again many thanks to all those making suggestions for bands to play here. Keepe them coming. Rock On Tony |

Saw a band called 'The Travelling Riverside Blues Band', play at The Valentine pub in Gants Hill they were really good, had a guitarist called Johnny Slide. It would be nice to see them play down south again. They have a myspace profile. |

Travelling Riverside Blues band played rock/blues covers Rory Gallagher - Bull Frog Blues, Led Zep - You Shook me, also Walking the Dog. There is music on myspace. I can access their profile through google. I have also seen some good tribute bands worth seeing again Thin Lizzy tribute 'Limehouse Lizzy', Small Faces tribute 'Small Fakers' both have their own website. |

Hi Tony I happened to see a recommendation on the board for Mary Jayne! I just wondered if you realised that Jamie the excellent lead guitarist with that band just happens to be the son of Charlie the bass player and lead vocalist in Uncle Sam (who were recommended further back on this forum).. Didnt wish to appear a smart **** but what the heck

Hi P I remember seeing Limehouse Lizzy some years back. A lot of venues have now gone the way of the Tribute act and for us im not too sure where we stand on this one at present. The Bridge House name has always been associated with new up and coming acts which i think is where our heart must be, but perhaps there is room for a tribute night also? I know. I will start a new thread asking "Should the bridge house have tribute acts play here".

Bobbie I didn't know that, and things seem to have gone a little quiet on the Uncle Sam front. It would be good to see more of the old faces about the place though. Thanks Tony |
