Re: Warm Jets

Hiya
I have a feeling that Claretta was referring to the Warm Jets who used to play the Bridge in the late 70's (Christ, was it that long ago?). They released the 1st Bridge House single, Sticky Jack b/w Shell Shock. after leaving the Bridge they were signed to RSO and released Big City Boys b/w Mr Natural. After changing their name to The Electric Eels the had a track released on a compilation album "Band It's At 10 O'clock" - the track being Thoroughly Modern. Eventually they split although various members contributed to a couple more singles. Paul Ballance is now the head honcho at Mbop international - more info on the web address can be found on the original Bridge site. Paul Jeffreys was tragically killed in the Lockerbie air crash. Milton Reame James was at the Bridge House book launch back in August and I spent a long time in conversation with him as both The Warm Jets and Cockney Rebel were fav bands of mine. Info on Milton's web site can also be found on the original Bridge site. As a piece of useless info I still have the poster from the front door of the Marquee from one of the Warm jets gigs there - I told you it was useless info. I've also got some photos I took of the band in full flow at the Bridge.
If anyone has any old tapings or anything else of the band please let me know, I'd love to hear them again.
Now if only there were some way to get Paul, Milton, Magick, Dave and a Paul clone to play together again - that would be special.....Warmjetting, the Last Picture Show, Sticky Jack etc what a thought!!!!!
All The Best
