Neighbor's New Kitten
I have a neighbor whose cat gave birth to kittens and one of the kitten's had part of the umbilical cord wrapped around her foot so tight that it appears that the foot has died. We soaked the kitten's foot in hydrogen peroxide to loosen the umbilical cord wrapped around it and got her foot free. But now she's walking (sort of!) around with a dead foot. Is there any danger in this? My neighbor doesn't have much money and can't afford to take the kitten to the vet. Any advice you can give me will be so appreciated! |

Your neighbor should take the kitten to the SPCA. If they are unable to help, then perhaps the SPCA or your vet can suggest a feline rescue group in your local area. Hope that helps! Dave |
