Good luck on breeding him Jamie! He should be able to help some guys add bottom and speed. How is the Brandy gyp bred? Wish you guys lived closer so we could breed a Duke daughter to Leroy. Think that might work too.
We are now offering SS(f)Ch Brownland Duke and EL(f)Ch Brownland Pedro to approved (by Uncle Bud) females for a pick of the litter. Let me know if you can figure out how to send something this way for us to breed. Kipp

Jamie, I was just flipping through the chase and came across a very nice female...it just happend to be yours (Ch.Early Birds'Brandi). Just thought it to be ironic to read of her here also. She is a very well made gyp! I would very much so like a female pup off of her. Would pay good money if you're willing to part.

Just a line to say hi. How do you think D&M's Heartache would cross on Leroy. She started in turn right back out. Wanted to breed her bad. Looking for her to come in soon. Take care, Dale

Dale just let me know i would love to have a pup off of that cross .We just bred a gyp that craig legget has and have 2 more waiting to come in but would love to see what that cross would do.I don't wont to breed him alot right now just a few that has good records to get some out there.I hope that the cross we made with brandy will be some speed deamons. They are some fine looking pups. But u know looks will only get so far in field trailing.Give me a call if u would like to make that cross.

Jamie- Never have met you, but thought I would drop you a note about your hound.I raised and trained his mother. She was off Canoy's Peter and Smith's Maggie Mae. She is a great female and I know Kipp's dog is a good one. I tried to buy her back, but he had already sold her. When you find a cross that works, stick with it. Good crosses don't come every day. Good hunting- Lamar Currie

Mr currie I have the Brownland Josie II dog at my kennels .Randy bowen from la let me lease her from him to breed we got her bred her last night to hoehners lotta loot just to see what that cross would do with her then hopefully randy will let me get her from him.She is a fine looking hound and she has throwed some fine hounds I have always been told that the gyp puts 80% and the stud dog puts the other 20 hopefully she will produce some nice pups again.

Re: ALL AMERICAN S/D WINNER CRYSTAL'S LEROY BROWN FOR STUD IN SC

Hey Jamie! Lamar is right. Got another from him that was bred similar and even better, but she got run over the first time I took her up to the lake to run. No doubt about Josie being good. We just had so many good ones at the time and breeding different gyps that we had to cut back. Had gotten two litters off her and felt we could share her. Hate that I had already let Randy have her when Lamar called cause he was good enough to let me have her to begin with. At the time we sold her, we had 5 gyps on hand and they all were good ones. The gyp may be 80% of it, but it takes a good stud too. They all were good gyps, but there still wasn't a one of them that could touch ole Duke and he was 3-5 years older than all them. We just didn't realize how good the gyps were because they had to run with Duke every week. I guess that was a good problem to have had. Bred him to Clown/Ringo and a Colby/Ringo bred gyp the other day. Maybe they'll kick in the 80% needed for the pups to be good too! Good luck with your breeding program and stay in touch. Kipp
