purina dog food prices gone out
the roof!!! went up $2.20 per 55# bag this week.to 20.88 per bag.takes one bag per 8 dogs per week running once a week. 7 dogs running twice a week. dog feed bill is now 111.70 per week with out any vouchers. if you do the math you get $4 off per bag on the purina program.i don't think their's a better consistent quality of feed for the money out there. burn about 10 gals of fuel a night hunting in the open. got 18 new born pups week old. thought i might start field trialing but every where i look its 40 50 100 dollars to enter a dog.not counting running 2 or three times a week y'all do for conditioning! all the octane,& running time y'all buy. what ever happen 20 25 & 30 dollar entry fees? 5 dollar dog pen fees? i know judges expenses are up, coyotes still $75 a head as they were in 1990! unless you got it down pat like the swampside boys ain't worth it for just bragging rights.its about the sport not the money right? unless you got a name brand stud dog that's won a hunt you don't get much help with your feed bill!! its like NASCAR only one winner. nobody remembers who place 2nd!! might have to reconsider,maybe we will help john & Rachel judge some. stay on the porch & in woods. back in the day it was $5 gas $15 for co-op dog chow. i don't know just me!! good huntin!!! |

Get some beagles! Cheaper to feed, cheaper to enter in trials, usually 10 - 15 dollars per dog! |
