Hillside burial

A couple years ago on Globetrekker there was a brief visit to a tribe who "bury" their dead outside. Now, the manner of burial is unique in that the bodies were not bured but positioned into a cross-legged shape and placed side-by-side on the side of a steep hill.

Does anyone know the place or region or people of whom I refer. I am desperately trying to track down information about them because I want to read about them further. Recently there was a show on PBS discussing similar types of ancestor veneration.

ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Hillside burial

Yes, I recollect that episode also. It covered some material about the culture (among many) having different burial practices dependent on if it was sacrificial, familial, or village/culture 'heads of state' (so to speak). Appreciating your question (and post here) greatly, it will have me 'scouring' my textbooks for an answer (memory not being what it used to be). Another source would be going to the globetrekker site and posting on their message board. The link to them is:
