Hi Susie,

Not being able to control your eating can be one of the mmost distressful parts of trying to regain a normal eating pattern.

Most people seem to find the evening time is their downfall.

Here are some tips that might help:

1.Identify your trigger foods.
2.Identify food binge times and maintain a list of fun distracting activities (e.g. phoning a friend, bringing your dog for a walk, painting a picture, taking a bubble bath) that you can call into play if you find yourself starting to overeat.
3. Ensure you are eating sufficient clories during the day to stop your body experiencing hunger which may lead to uncontrollable binging.
4. Consider keeping ajournal in which you vow to write in for 5 mins after you feel the deasire to binge. Try to identify the emotions that may be lkeading you to feel this way. Over time a pattern may emerge and you may be able to identify emotions or situations that are triggering this urge to overeat.

The important thing to understand is that we all binge for different reasons and thus it may take time for you to find the secret to reganing control over your eating patterns.

If anyone else has any useful tips please post them.

Lots of Love,
