Where:
Our Hadano School in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan: 60 minutes south of Tokyo and 50 minutes south of Yokohama.
Duties:
Teach children to adults and some company classes. Teach one 30 minute class of French per week to children.
(You do not need to be a native French speaker). You will teach about 25 hours a week. Work is Monday to Friday.
You have weekends off and most Japanese national holidays. You will be required to work 3-5 days of Monday-Japanese
national holidays a year, but an alternate weekday will be given off as a dayoff that week. Three days a week you teach
at your own home/school. The other three days are spent at our Tsukahara School and at our Akageno An School.
No long train travel.
We Provide:
Sponsorship, full training, a clean, modern apartment-rent 50-60,000Yen/Month,. No key money!
80 hours free Japanese lessons, a computer in the classroom which is located in one room of your apartment. So you teach
out of your apartment a few days a week. Your apartment is satellite TV equipped, You can pay for satellite TV if you want it
(approx. 3,000 Yen/month), access to our extensive English library at our Tsukahara school in Minami Ashigara.
Caring Canadian and Japanese co-managers. The Canadian still teaches, so knows what it's like "in the trenches."
It is a great area to live, with many restaurants to choose from and access to many beautiful places.
Salary:
250,000 Yen/Month Plus 120,000 Yen bonus on completion of the one year contract. Raises for deserving teachers in their second
and third years here. We pay for your regular weekly travel costs from your home to our other schools.
Vacation Time:
Two paid vacations per year: Ten working days off in August and Ten working days off over the Christmas/New Year`s holiday.
Required:
A university degree in any subject. An enthusiasm for taking on the challenge of teaching English in Japan. Someone who
thinks or knows they will enjoy teaching children.
A Typical Classroom: this is our Tsukahara School classroom. You would teach here once a week if hired. Most of our classrooms are similar,
with a wooden table and wooden chairs. The atmosphere is very "homey."

Assets: These are assets but really aren`t necessary as we have a full training program in place, and all teachers train with us no matter
how much previous training or experience they have. Previous TEFL, TESOL or other training and/or previous experience.
