International Investment Bank - Information Technology (IT) department in Tokyo is seeking an Asia IT Technical Training and Analyst Training Coordinator. The Coordinator will report to and work closely with the IT Technical Training Manager on recruiting and technology training projects for Asia IT. This person will work with global counterparts on these initiatives and participate on global conference calls.
IT Technical Training: The Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination of technology training for Asia IT. Main responsibilities include:
• Working with Asia IT to gather and analyze critical generic and proprietary technical training needs.
• Developing IT technical educational strategy.
• Designing, delivering, and coordinating customized technical courses with vendors and internal IT staff.
• Supporting technology rollouts and facilitating ad-hoc training requests.
• Generating training reports and presenting to management on regular basis.
• Maintaining and enhancing training website.
• Working with global teammates to form and execute various IT Training initiatives.
• Managing vendor relationships.
• Working on projects as determined by managers and/or Training Department such as department specific training programs, e-learning initiatives, etc.
IT Analyst Training: The Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing university graduate recruitment for Asia IT and serve as the main liaison from Asia to the IT Analyst training program. Main responsibilities include:
• Identifying, assessing, recruiting and retaining high potential university graduates interested in pursuing a career in the company’s Information Technology department.
• Working closely with IT and recruitment managers, the Global IT Analyst team and Human Resources to determine and implement local and recruitment strategy.
• Serving as the central point of contact for recruiting teams.
• Establishing technical mentor relationships with IT Analysts before, during and after the training program.
• Creating and maintaining a network for IT Analysts past and present.
• Projects include:
- Summer intern program
- Campus recruiting
- Assessment Center
- IT Analyst pre-program technical and language training coordination
-IT Analyst networking events
Skills Required:
• Japanese and English proficiency required.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to communicate effectively and interact with various levels of staff, including high level management.
• Ability to build strong client relationships.
• Familiarity with the Japanese education system and university recruiting cycles.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a matrix organization.
Skills Desired
• Hands-on technical experience.
• Understanding of bilingual and multi-cultural education.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience delivering training in a corporate environment.
• 3-5 years experience in training/IT.
