Manchester Latest
Ok guys? Latest situation in Manchester is this. The fans of the club have been offered two choices at a meeting tonight – either mothball the next season, or play half its games out of Deeside (North Wales) and the other at IceSheffield. Either way, the club should be playing out of a new facility at Eastlands (near the City of Manchester stadia) by the 2005 season. Fans can vote on the website as of the morning. This obviously raises some questions. The Phoenix had a two-year deal with the MEN Arena, so what has happened there? Fans have bought season tickets on prices at the arena… Is this the end for the EIHL????? It’s a complete mess. Some fans feel shafted – they lost season ticket money when the club last folded and now they have been shafted again. BUT – it was clear to me anyway that it never was going to work at the MEN anyway… Your thoughts? As for the Manchester press core (we are all fans too) – we are not happy bunnies… |
