Received my copy today. This book is a 'MUST HAVE' for anybody interested in the sport of ice hockey in Great Britain. It features literally EVERY rink to have staged ice hockey in this country (most of them, of course, long since closed), with over a hundred illustrations and thousands of fascinating facts. Do you know, for example, which venue became one of the world's most famous variety theatres; or which one was transformed into a famous London dance hall; or which city, outside of London, can boast of having had most ice hockey venues? The answers are all here. Finally, I must declare an interest, as the author has been kind enough to include a photograph of myself in the book. I bet you can't spot me, though! For details of how to obtain a copy of 'Homes of British Ice Hockey', follow the link on this site. |
