A jazzy wedding

If you are a music buff, enjoying good jazz music, then you would definitely not want to miss a show where the likes of international legends like Alan Moraes, Tony Noronha, Lenny Heredia and Colin D'Cruz play together on one stage. Well, you just missed the 'jazz concert' on June 10 at Emerald Lawns, Parra. If it is some consolation you were not there, it was because it was a wedding of singer-musician combination, Minisha and Raul D'Souza. Raul is well-known for he runs a sound business besides being an exceptionally good drummer, guitarist and trumpeter and was the bandleader of the beat group Harmony...On stage belting out their best were Alan Moraes (drums), Channel V and MTV fame Anika Noronha (vocals) of Mumbai's Sixth Sense, Colin D'Cruz (bass) of the Obligato, Jazz Junction and the Brown Indian Band, Lenny Heredia (keyboards), Chagas Fernandes (trumpet), Carlos Gonsalves (percussions), Tony Noronha (keyboards) and his daughter Donna Noronha (vocals) and Daina (vocals) and Gerard Monteiro (keyboards) of Rainstorm. Not to be outdone, and to everyone's suprise, the bridal couple Raul (on drums) and Minisha (vocals) also took to the stage. In the wings, but not performing, probably due to lack of time, was Phillip, the ex-bass player of Harmony, Brian Bones, Tony Dias, Constance Diniz, Herman Abreu, Adolphina, Eardly D'Souza, Ashting and others. Pure jazz, interspersed with great solos, was lapped up to a thunderous applause. Truly, Raul and Minisha's wedding reception will go down on everyone's memory for its impromptu 'jazz concert'.
