Reference sources for new fanfic writers

For those people writing fanfiction, here are some useful sites for reference information.

Jim Wright’s Delta Quadrant of Blues is invaluable, with detailed descriptions of every Voyager episode, including the dialogue. Go to: www.treknews.com/deltablues/seasons.html

General Voyager schematics can be found on http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/7851/voyager.html , though http://www.grms.fsnet.co.uk/voyship.htm#tour goes into much more detail (including many pictures) and identifies many canon inconsistences, as well as the episodes in which various items were used. Other general Star Trek reference sites are the Daystrom Technical Institute on http://www.ditl.org/index.htm and of course the official site on http://startrek.com.

http://www.cs.umanitoba.ca/~djc/startrek/stardates/ is a VERY thorough explanation of Stardates.

Klingon language can be found on http://www.beyond.olm.net/klingon.html or http://startrek.com/library/klingon.asp though keep in mind that according to canon B'Elanna's Klingon vocabulary is limited to a few phrases (which, according to Seven of Nine in "Concerning Flight" apparently include a number of swear words). The curse B'Elanna uses in canon is 'petaQ'.

http://www.shakaar.demon.co.uk/

Shakaar Society (an EXCELLENT resource for Bajorans, as well as a Star Trek episode guide, and many other things trek. VERY nicely laid out) while a reference for Vulcan’s can be found on http://www.ludwig.ucl.ac.uk/st/StarTrek/Vulcan/Vulcan.html

Another reference

Also check out www.ex-astris-scientia.org. Has technical details, Voyager inconsistencies (including a list of all crewmembers mentioned in Voy eps and shuttles destroyed), etc.
