Jimmy Wayne Jones, 63, of Lejunior, formerly of Kenvir, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at his home. He was born August 25, 1949. Jimmy proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Navy before retiring and moving back to his home town in Harlan County.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Jones and Henry "Buck" Jones; his paternal grandparents, Susie and Burgan Jones; his maternal grandparents, Bertha and Dave Jones; one sister, Marilyn Sue Jones; and a nephew, William Jason Jones.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Gloria Robbins and husband, Clifford, Kenvir; Myra Cupp and husband, Rick, Dizney; three brothers, Buddy Jones, Kenvir; Bo Jones and wife, Dorothy, Kenvir; Clayton Neal and wife, Janet, San Antonio, TX; a special friend, Dallas Lloyd, Lejunior; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Moore and the Reverend John Luttrell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Harlan Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Clifford Robbins, Jerry Surber, Bob Branson, Jesse Cupp, Dylan Cupp and Rick Cupp.
