POLICE NOTICE: TWO DISTINCTIVE BIKES STOLEN ( Sea Mills )

Subject: Latest news bulletin: Two distinctive bikes stolen

TWO DISTINCTIVE BIKES STOLEN ( Sea Mills )

Police are appealing for information after two distinctive bikes were
stolen from a garden shed in Sea Mills, Bristol.

The door of the wooden shed was smashed open sometime between 7pm,
Thursday March 10 and 8am Friday March 11 in the back garden of the
address in Sea Mills.

Two of the bikes were attached to each other with a strong lock and to a
cement block with another strong lock weighing 25kgs.

One of the bikes was a Giant ATX one DH worth over £3000. It was yellow,
red and purple in colour and had Hope and Mavic wheels with Michelin
tyres. There was also a black plastic microchip tied to the underside of
the frame which is used for timing during races.

The second bike stolen was a DMR Trailstar of purple colour worth over
£1500.

A wheel belonging to a Muddy Fox BMX bike was also stolen during the
incident and a Troy Lee Designs D2 SE carbon full face helmet were also
stolen.

It is believed that the two bikes would have been very difficult to fit
through the door of the shed and the wheel of the BMX bike would have
been very difficult to release possibly suggesting that the thieves were
familiar with the cycles.

Anyone with information about the incident or who has been offered the
bikes for sale is asked to contact Avonmouth Police Station via the
force non-emergency number 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555
111.
