frame question

what are cotics like ? also anyone know anything about dialled bikes prince albert

Re: frame question

The Cotic Soul is a very nice frame with the usual springyness and comfort of a Reynolds 853 steel, it handles extremely well on pretty much anything you throw at it. It's an all day trail bike rather than a race wippett, it'll except up to 130mm forks though you may want an on the fly travel adjust at that length, I have Magura Ronin 110mm on mine and that is about right for my style of riding.

Single Track magazine described it's persona as a Landrover TDi, which to me sums it up really well.

You may want to look at the new Cotic Soda as well which is a Ti version of the Soul, which rides preyty much the same as the steel Soul but has the obvious advantages of Ti.

I can't personally comment on the cromo PA's but people I know who have them seem to like them a lot, they have also bought out a Renyolds 853 version in competition with the Soul.

It really is a case of "Yer pays yer money".

Re: frame question

Not speaking from personnel experience but reviews and engineering principles the Prince Alberts have stronger frame than the Cotic and will have less of the 'spring' that MikeT mentions.
