I cycle to/from work most days + enjoy days-out 
...and I am think of take up mountain biking...
Where is the best place to try mountain biking.
Also where is the best place to hire a bike? or is it best to buy a bike, because it takes sometime to find-out if yoy like it?
Are there many new mountain bikers within the
Bristol mountain bike club? or are most intermediate/advanced riders?

As for hiring bike, I throw this to the floor. I think pembury cycles (link above) hire out bikes. But I may be wrong.
