Saturday is a day of rest!

Whats wrong with Sunday

Re: Re: Quantocks on Saturday

Things are different this weekend, Sunday is the day of rest and Saturday a day of vigourous activity.

Lezzers

Re: Re: Re: Re: Quantocks on Saturday

I couldn't say it better myself.

So is any one riding on Sunday????

I know who you are V.Pollard.

From the above postings I can see thar Rob and the other "lessers" are heading to the Quantocks on Saturday, but is anyone up for a bit of Sunday riding????

I was thinking about either The Forest of Doom or possibly the Quantocks. Any takers.

Re: So is any one riding on Sunday????

The fod sounds like a good plan. I'd be up for that.

Did the quantocks last sunday, and was a bit miffed to find that the peachy bit of singletrack that joins into the chimney about half way down, has been totally obliterated along its whole length by the forestry people. Also, the bottom bit of the chimney is cordoned off, and only the last section is rideable, with some off piste forest excursions. Boo hoo. I was chatting to some other peeps at the bottom of the chimney who said that the other downhill track has also been torn out as well. This does seem incredibly mean spirited of the forestry plonkers, because it does appear that they have set out to deliberately destroy the singletrack, yet leaving everything else intact.

Re: Re: So is any one riding on Sunday????

Alright Chris,

Its a bloody shame about the Chimney, that whole bit of Singletrack was one of the best on the Quantocks.

As for Sunday I'm OK with the FOD. If anyone else is interested 9.00 at the cottage or 10.00 at the pedal-away visitors centre.

Stephen.
