Special type of valley excavated by a rivulet

Is there a term for a narrow, often steep valley that a seasonal rivulet/creek excavated in a loamy soil ? The depth of such a valley is of meters (5-15 m).

Such valleys can be found in the Dobrudja (the province that borders the Western Black Sea coast, shared by Romania and Bulgaria), and I imagine it could also be found in Greece and Crete, except that there the soils are rockier.

Thanks in advance
