I checked out your equipment on the web. The Q10 is a pretty nice unit. I'm not sure what type of problems you're having nor am I sure what type of pc you have. I looked briefly at the specs on the VIA motherboard. I'm assuming you have a pretty new system. If that is the case, you probably need a more intense sound card.
I use a Dell dimension with a SoundBlaster card & use a small mixing board rather than something like your Q10. I don't seem to have any problems with this setup. I also use a special condenser microphone. You can't use a standard microphone when recording on a PC. I did find a website that may give you some more insight. However, it may be a little outdated...
