Eric What was the name of the hunter that gave some of his old pedigrees? I live around the corner from Hugh Holt Stegall's. He was the one with Dr. Weldon you mentioned this man getting hounds from years ago. J. W. Elliot from Mexia Texas came out here often also.Hugh Holt's Daughter requested me to ask the mans name and where he was located, We are in Macon N. C.

Paul, The man's name is Tom ****er and the pedigrees he sent me are loaded with Weldon blood. The hounds names were Hobo Steagall and Darrell Steagall and there were hounds like Betty Weldon, Helen Weldon, Pride Weldon and Rose Weldon, among others behind them.
There was also a great deal of Burris Hill Tom and Flowers breeding and I even see a cross of Bill Martin's blood behind the John Jo Smith hound that is in there a number of times.
Hope this helps. As someone with a lot of this blood in his pedigrees, I'm definitely interested in anything you can tell me about Mr. Steagall and Mr. Weldon and their hounds.

In the mid seventy's and eighty's I had some of Mr. Stagell's breeding here at the House. I had hounds with Mr. Weldon's, Dr. Chapman's and Bill Wendell's breeding as well. Wish I had some of that tough old blood today.
