The 2016 Mid-South Masters held up to the expectations of all the hunters attending. We would like to thank all involved in helping this hunt to be a success. Mike Carr with Pride and Randy McGovern with Showtime for their continuous support, Brandon McKeithan MOH and all the judges. We had an outstanding group of hunters and hounds show up from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The running was strong and fast from the beginning to the end. The leader was not unexpected at the end of the first day with Brim's Sugar Britches, owned by Brett Bass on top 500 S&D. We had about 3 inches of rain over night and the second days running was even stronger with Hound #33 Snoop, owned MMJ Spaulding being the high S&D hound with 640 points for the day. Going into day 3 Brim's Sugar Britches was still in the lead with Bond's Holly owned by Triple B kennels in a close second. On the third day the running was constant and fast and the hounds were very impressive. When the results were tallied hound #11 High Cotton Lynyrd owned by High Cotton Kennels was the high S&D with 825 for the day. It took 2179 GTP to win and 1579 to get in the top 10.
