The first annual Eastern Derby was a great success with hunters from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia in attendance. We had strong running both days.
We would like to thank all who attended today, Randy McGovern with Showtime and Mike Carr with Pride for their continuous support. B&B Kennels for entering the most hounds, and Mike Horton for traveling the farthest from Georgia, and also Mr. Jessie Riddick for his longevity and continued enthusiasm for this great sport. Thank you to all the judges, Master Tommy McLamb, Assistant Master Clyde Sutton, Bench Show Judge Kenny Dean for doing an outstanding job, and Amy McGraw on the keyboards.
Congratulations to Ray Casteen having high dog the first day with 570 speed & drive and B&B Kennels with high dog the second day with 650 speed & drive. At the end of day two, the winning hound was #78 Birch Creek Hot Sauce, Rack Em Up Kennels, Rocky Point, NC. She came out on top with 1,142 GTP!
