The weather was perfect for the C&M 3 Day Open . We started with a cold brisk morning , hot coffee and a friendly camaraderie among hunters. The temperature warmed up by noon making it perfect for catching up the 93 “top” hounds that had come to compete.
We had an outstanding slate of judges with Pete Warren serving as Master of Hounds and Clyde Sutton as Assistant Master. These guys did a great job along with all the judges who were as follows: Bill Holden, James Benton, Curt Arnette, Matthew Hammond, Cecil Lee, Preston Watts, Cade Watts, Tommy Murray, Danny Fowler, Marvin Ricks, Jody Duval, Clyde Sutton , and Pete Warren,.
The Bench Show , including a child handling class, was held at 6:00pm .The Bench Show was the biggest that C&M had seen since the pen has been opened. Following the bench show was a complimentary supper for the hunters which consisted of 2” grilled pork steaks with potatoes, baked beans, and salad and banana pudding and cake for desert. What a feast. Lonnie & Hilda out did themselves again. They wanted me to thank all of you for coming and making this a great hunt. Cari Hayes did the posting of the scores and she did a fabulous job in record time. The results are as follows:
