I was comparing 3 dogs foods caliber 24/20 diamond 24/20 and showtime 27/20 thay sell her when I read on the fiber caliber was like 3.5. Diamond was 5. And showtime was like 2.5 can anybody explain the fiber part
not real sure but i always thought that fiber helped clean out the system. i feed diamond and as soon as my dogs eat they pass a stool. so im guessing the more fiber the better. and someone correct me if im wrong. hope this helps.
Fiber is like beet pulp, rice bran, wheat midds, etc. depending on how the particular feed is formulated. 3.5% max fiber is normal. 2.0% is about as low as you can get with normal dog food formulations. Also, you would not want it any lower or the dogs would become constipated.
