I have a hound who within the last month has become very congested. She's not sick with a virus; it's as if her nose has closed up, just like ours will when we are congested. She has a lot of mucus drainage as well. Besides this, she feels fine, eats fine, and even has continued to run well, somehow. Has anyone ever had this problem before. If so, what did you use to relieve them?

Sky try putting her on bactrim for 7 to 10 days. Hope this helps.

Sky , I have a brood ***** that has some kind of nasal infection like I've never seen before ,
She has inflamed nostriles an she licks her nose so much she has sores on the end of her nose.
She breathes funny . I've been shooting her with penicillin , with no effect !
She had this for about three weeks , I don't know what to do but any help is appreciated !

I had one the same way and started giving her sudafed and bendryl and it cleared up like it was allergies

Just come from the vet for the same thing they give me Naxcel 1 Gm once a day and pred 2.5 mg once a day for 14 days
