IM FIXING TO PURCHASE A GARMIN AND WONDERING WHICH WAY TO GO.I HAD A BUDDY THAT HAD THE DC 40 COLLARS AND THEY SEEM TO LOSE COMMUNCATION ALOT DID THEY CORRECT THIS WITH THE DC 50.I GOT ANOTHER BUDDY THAT HAS THE ALPHA AND IT HARDLY EVER DROPS COMM.I ALREADY HAVE THE SHOCK SYSTEM SO DONT REALLY NEED THE ALPHA UNLESS ITS BETTER AS FAR AS NOT LOSING COMM.
I have an alpha and its by far the best investment I have made in fox hunting. I almost never use the shock system, and I would buy it again just for all of the uses of the system itself. Hope this helps.
