I lost one of the best coyote hounds I have ever owned this week.. Wilson's Cooter ( Cooter Bishop x Butler's Red Pepper) was as good at jumping a coyote on the outside as any I have ever had the pleasure of owning or hunting with. He did not do much trailing but when you heard him you knew it was a coyote. He was completely broke and helped train a bunch of the young dogs I am hunting now.. He was never field trialed but he was a true pleasure to hunt and listen to!!!! I will probably never own another hound that I can depend on as much as I depended on Cooter to jump a coyote for me in deer country or handle as good as he did. He will be missed every time I cast a pack of hounds!!!!!!
