I have had several people over the last few weeks call about when the dates are for this years Gulf Coast Classic. The dates were originally set for September 26-29, but we(the board of the Classic) have decided to post-pone this date for now due to too many hunts at the same time in the same area and also the same facility. The Top Gun is Oct. 9-11 at Deep South Running Pen. Having these 2 hunts this close together will be too much on the hounds, the houndsman, and the judges. We don't want to hurt the entry of either hunt. We considered moving the dates earlier a week or 2 but then it would be on top of the Grenada Lake 3-day and a hunt in Harrisville. 2 to 3 weeks after the Top Gun would put it on top of the National/Futurity.
