Thanks Brandon, It was good to see Danny Morris and congrats to him and all that got there name call. Brandon what is the name and breeding on the 4th place hound. Pen was real fast and open and had to many nascar dogs show up instead of their usual volkswagons

When u campaign a speed drive hunt u must have a understanding of what is to be expected from the hunters that is the right amount of hounds for size pen.right amount of judges to cover whole pen Game that will run the advertised hours of hunt. And judges and master of hounds that know what their doing and that u have to see the game before scoring hounds and judging the dogs not the owners. These few things is a standard request by all speed drive hunters. This was advertised as a speed drive hunt not a tail wagger event. Some got upset because these conditions were not met that's all. Let's move on Drayton tried but under estimated the caliber of hounds that showed up one thing for sure mr buddy is a good salesman he had them bringing their racehorses from all over lol heard he's going to be promoting the Indy 500 at Draytons other pen soon so stay tuned and get ready lol

If the 2 misfits hadn't provoked the judge into seeing his score sheet and their dogs not leading rallied to have scores thrown out it would've been ok.Mon should have threw them out instead of scores.it's really hard to get judges and to demean 1 by hunters is uncalled for.Drayton did a awesome job but had to put up with such child play. U moron when u get judges who has never hunted or owned a hound scoring dogs crossing the road babbling and just traveling not running nothing u have defeated the purpose of a fox hunt!!! The judges said they was instructed to score whatever came out the trails or crossed the road! They said they didn't need to see the game! Out of nine scores they seen a Yote on two! I don't give a flip who's dog was scored and who's wasn't right is right and wrong is wrong!!! Then the master of hounds made a speech to everyone which shocked me and said that him or any other judge DOES NOT have to SEE the GAME to score dogs!!! What the flip! Another words u don't need game anymore just turn a bunch of hounds loose with numbers and write down whatever! What is this sport gone to! As far as calling hunt early it probably saved some dogs from getting hurt because after the catches took place the dogs had Yote scent all over them and since there was nothing to run some dogs was starting to run and bay other hounds! As far as me I didn't want my hounds following a bunch of babbling dogs for the last hour! Or maybe that's what some call hunting and trailing! Maybe u should spend more time with ur eyes on ur hounds in the woods instead of sitting at camp with ur eyes glued to a g p s screen fantasizing ! Signed ,a major cluster!!!!!

Hunters, there are a lot of crossings the game is never seen.Curves,hills and
brush can cause you to miss the game.If you have watched dogs run much you
would know this.

We all know that this was gonna start eventually!No this was not a good hunt,but it was just a bad situation for everybody involved.Including the pen owner & hunters.I promise you all that nobody wanted things to happen the way it did,but it turned out the way it did & it's over.The judges were done & walked up the the road & they ran into the hunters.so y'all sit around & bash the hunt & do what y'all want to do.Y'all are only hurting your selves & the sport so have at it.

The bottom line is what was said is true it was done wrong and scores should been tossed and no one in their right mind wants to go to a hunt where judges don't know what the heck is going on much less the master standing there saying you don't have to see the game I didn't travel as far as some and didn't even place my hound and yes dogs was running dogs including mine and probably your perfect pooch. I encourage people to speak up and tell the truth when stuff is wrong at hunts or people caught cheating hunters out of their money. Look at how many big shots get caught and everyone turns their heads and it's smoothed out. Some have did it over and over. But I guess when u have big bucks u have special privliges the little man don't. Sportsmanship is respecting others rights and all be treated equally with true fairness. U can score the dog benefit of the doubt that being said u don't have to see the game but if ur hustling an eyes pealed ur goo to see the game 9 outa 10 times... U should scratch dogs if they running dogs... The whole problem to these speed an drive hunts they get judges that has never owned a dog or hunted wit dogs an they get throwed to the wolves not haven a clue what they getting into... Has Brandon Pritchard and Lamey been to a hunt that was fair. These 2 cause drama at every hunt. What an embarrassment to there family and fellow hunters. These 2 walked 3 hundred yards from camp to talk to a judge. Interaction with a judge during a trial should result in the disqualification of their entries.

I for one enjoyed the level of competition . I heard old timer getting lippy but I can assure you if yall will have another one the results will not be the same . We have helped a lot of people remember why they quite the first time so please get Mr.Drayton to put another one together and we can put school in session again . Those hounds held an average of 17 mph for the first hour. There was not a lot of road running . Each race seemed to get every dog on one piece of game. The pen is fast and after an hour all home field advantage is gone. Too bad the hunt didn't last. Dubose, Chandler and Griffin were coming to the front. Happy hunting see yall at another speed fest soon. I have not forgot why I do this I love running hounds and competition All yall that are fussing get saved Sunday and you purpose in life will change for the better.Born again people enjoy life even in confusioning times. Let's get over it and go hunting.

This hunt started out for local hunters to have a little competion hunt between one another. Invitations broadened our entries and by that increased the awards and prize money which brought in a total of 68 hounds.

Fox hunting is different now than in the past, what happened to plaques and trophies where they were a honor and privilege to win. Has the big $ sign caused chaos and criticism towards fox pens, judges, hounds and fox hunters. This hunt was put on to be as honestly as possible. My apologies go out to any one that felt offended.

I have two licensed Fox Pens in Georgia. They are for my good friends to hunt in and enjoy. I don't care to see another can of white paint in either and may never hold another event again. If other fox pen owners feel the same way, after reading the past no name responses and opinions to what happened, where will there be any places to hold any type of field trials. We went all out for hunters to come and enjoy themselves. Like Mr. Dubose said lets forget and move on, please.

Mr Stillwell I don't know you but I'd to say this to you. YOU CAN'T MAKEM HAPPY. All hunts don't turn out good any real hunter knows this. You take the bad with the good. This is a family oratant sport. From what I've seen your gonna have this kind of whinnies have one day money hunt, that's the kind of folks that's big into this. Also figure the ones out that cause s the drama an don't let em come back. They should stay home an watch the yung and the restless.

I am a regular field trialer and a pen owner myself and when u advertise an all age money hunt then YES it is about the $ !! From the sound of things the facility wasn't ready and like it or not that's not the hunters fault ,it's the person or people that put the hunt on.Bottom line the hunters money should have been refunded and then move on , instead these people pretty much ripped the hunters off and is asking them to move on.people like that really have know buisness hosting a hunt like this sorry but a Fact!!!

Here is what we need to do when a hunt is put on an the pen is not right the pen does not get paid that will stop these pen owners from putting on hunts knowing they do not have the game in it

This kind of stuff that gives us pen owners a bad name.i don't know u Mr. Stillwell but it's obvious that u have a few more things to learn about putting on a field trial besides having good hospitality!!!Peoples time and money should mean more to folks than this.

We put on a hunt at Drayton's pen in lumpkin last year and had a lot of fun. We ran some pigs during the hunt, but everyone was expecting it. I have never been to his other pen, but I go to the Lumpkin pen often. The game always runs good and there is plenty of it. I appreciate it Stillwell

Thanks for all who replied. Point taken that the pen owner got in over his head with this hunt. As for as the judges scoring wrongly iit was the pen owners responsibility to have qualified judges it's the pen owner that's gets a master of hounds that does not make a speech to all the hunters that u DO NOT have to see the game, at a speed drive hunt ,to score hounds as for hunters speaking up when something this serious is happening YES it should be done! This is what's wrong with the sport people watch this crap happening and say nothing Every hunt should be transparent. If hunters want to view judges scores , so be it. If hunters want to watch scores being tallied, so be it. People just want their hounds scored RIGHT period. A hunter goes to a hunt to compare his hound to the next How can he do that if u have judges that know nothing about hunting or if the hunt is pre- determined. There's a lot of people not attending hunts anymore because of these reasons. Start watching even at big hunts how it's the same few that's got most of the hounds anymore There is a lot of good hounds out there let's start encouraging pen owners to try there best to have qualified judges and make sure to the best of their ability that each hound gets a fair shake. If u take a mans entry and don't allow his hound to be scored correctly, in my opinion , it's stealing. Hunters my days in this sport are getting fewer due to age and illness but please start taking a stand speak up when things are wrong! If they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar don't be scared to voice your thoughts on the matter. Bottom line it's up to the hunters to decide if they are going to continue to allow this type of stuff to continue If ur not man enough to speak up at hunt then don't grip after u leave we need more hunters to get the courage to take a stand on what's right People listen if u keep ur mouth shut and try to be a good old boy to fit in some little fox hunters click u will soon find out cheaters will be cheaters and stick u to Let's get back to the basics and do right and keep the sport going forward Let's move on this country was founded on men ,dedicated to taking a stand on what's right. Why should we as men ,back down now! Everyman has his right to a opinion and this is mine!
