what is a good black dye to use to black hounds out for white number

I have always used Clairol 52D mixed 50/50 with a 20 or 30 cream developer.

Began 59, mix with water

I buy mine at dollar tree jet black
For $1.00 good stuff after about 45 minutes
Wash off with water hose day before you paint.
White paint will stay on.
