We'll make more posts as all the sponsors and times are finalized and the hunt gets a little closer, but we have been getting calls for information, so we thought we could answer some questions.
Run 2 five hour days - Friday & Saturday , October 23rd & 24th,2015.
This hunt is for Any dog born Jan 1, 2014 and Younger.
The entry fee is $50 a dog, and there is no membership.
The hunt will be ran under Masters GTP scoring , using the 5 minute times.
It will count for the Leaderboard program.
We will run the first day in the 'Big Pen' at Manning, and the top 100 and ties will run the 2nd day in the 'Little Pen' (360 acres) right next door.
The bench show will be Friday, after the first days running.
Marvin Ricks will be our Master of Hounds.
Davis Hallman will be our bench show judge.
Invitations are going out to judges now and we plan on 20-25 of the best in the Southeast.
We will start reserving numbers on Monday September 7th (7-10 pm, eastern time). We will post the number to use closer to time.
To be fair about the numbers, each kennel can reserve ONE of the numbers in the (1-19) group on a first call, first serve basis.
* On a side note - We are trying to run this hunt on as level a playing field as possible in all aspects. We understand no matter what the outcome of any hunt anymore, some folks don't seem to be happy unless there is some sort of turmoil and talk. This hunt is for dogs of a very competitive age and there are 10 spots to fill. It will take a very good one to get their name called, and there will be very good ones who don't get their names called. If you have a good one - we invite you to bring it. If you cannot deal with not placing , and feel like you must bad mouth the hunt, hunters, or judges - we invite you to just stay home.
