THE STATE OF OUTSIDE TRIALS

It seemed a quarter centry ago that outside field trials would fade away.It doesn't seem that that has totally happened. Thanks to large groups of hunters in a few lucky territories there is still a hound being bred and judged for characteristics intended by the original rules writers. The upcoming National and then All American at Grenada will cast hounds from top kennels .And the winners will be in the history book with the great hounds of yesterday. It is a good time to be alive. We need to be positive and enjoy life and participate if possible. Pen hunters as well as outside hunters place in these trials. All it takes is a one good hound!

Re: THE STATE OF OUTSIDE TRIALS

Biggest problem now is finding good judges .Maybe its always been this way but some hunters that pen hunt dont know how to judge an outside hound for hunting or trailing anymore.
