Leaderboard Reminders to all Hunt Directors and Secretaries-
1. All hunts must be advertised at least 30 days prior to the start of the trial for the hunt to count. All trials must be advertised on at least a ¼ page ad in the Hunters' Horn in order for points earned from placing to be included in the standings. Advertising two hunts in the same ad shall not be allowed. Advertising two hunts on ½ page, three hunts on ¾ page or 4 hunts on a full page shall be allowed.
When sending in ads please remember, printing begins ~30 days before distribution of the upcoming months magazine. We recommend advertisements be sent into the Hunters Horn magazine a minimum of 3 months (~90 days) prior to the running of a hunt to ensure your hunt makes the 30 day deadline.
EXAMPLE: If your hunt is being held in April, the ad for that hunt must run in the March issue or earlier. The ad should be sent or called into the Hunters Horn no later than February to ensure the hunt makes the deadline.
Sending them in as EARLY as 4 months is even better!!! There is no such thing as advertising a hunt too early.
2. If you are in charge of a hunt, you can also send in your Leaderboard fees to the secretary EARLY for every hunt your association intends to have during the year. The fees can be paid as far in advance as you like. Reminder- write a note or on the check write the name of the hunts.
3. In order for points to be counted, each hunt must pay an annual affiliation fee to the Masters or National FHA and run under the National Rules, Masters Rules or July National Rules and a recording fee of $30.00 must be paid by each association to the Leaderboard for their hunt to be included in the Leaderboard standings.
4. Master's Affiliation hunt fees ($50) and Leaderboard Program fees ($30) should be mailed to the address listed below. Please make sure you write on the check what specific hunt the fees are for such as: MidSouth Masters Leaderboard, Texas St Leaderboard or enclose a brief note with the description of the hunt. 5. In an effort to keep the Leaderboard standings current and “up to date” and an even flow of hunts for the score keeper, we request the COMPLETE RESULTS and the LEADERBOARD FEES be sent in within 30 days of the last day of running.

As noted, we request them to be in within 30 days and the Leaderboard committee reserves the right to disqualify any hunt that purposfully holds results. We are fortunate to have over 98% of the hunts participating comply with this and the hunters can assist with requesting results be posted if they are not within a week or two(if merely for their personal recognition and accomplishment). We routinely follow up with secretaries and officers to get them in but there is always one or two that want to procrastinate and drag their feet. We try to keep this open and help when neeed. Its only sportsmanship like to keep the standing current and up to date.
