March has arrived and that means spring is in the air and the Masters field trial is only 3 weeks away. This year’s field trial will be held in Swainsboro, GA, March 16-19, 2016 at United Fox Pen. Rawhide and Sonny have the pen in great shape and will make sure everything is ready for everyone’s arrival and participation in the 18th running of “The Masters”.


Call now and get on the draw list. There are 126 numbers in the draw. Numbers 1 to 99 and all numbers with 2 ones. You can also reserve all other numbers now. Call Clif Parker @ 252-559-0400 for both.

Below are a few things you need to know about the field trial beginning Wednesday, March 16,
1. At 8 AM, you can begin buying Membership ($10) & signing of a sportsmanship agreement.
2. At 9 am, begin to draw numbers 1 to 99 and all numbers with 2 ones.
3. Entry of hounds will be from 11 am til ~ 4 PM, Wednesday.
4. The Masters & Leaderboard Awards Banquet will be Wednesday, March 16, 6 PM at the Varner 4-H center in Swainsboro, Ga. Meal will be $20 a person.
5. Directors Meeting ~ 4:30 PM, Wednesday March 16 at the Varner 4-H center.
6. Bench Show Thursday Night, Time to be announced.
7. Stock Holders Meeting 9 AM, Friday March 18, at the Pen.


*All hounds entered in hunt must be kenneled on the grounds. HOUNDS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF THEY LEAVE THE GROUNDS !!!!!

**Please make sure you TURN YOUR TRACKING/TRAINING RECEIVERS AND TRANSMITTERS OFF DURING THE 5 HOURS OF RUNNING EACH DAY ...as per the Masters rules- No persons shall have any tracking receiver or training transmitter on or in use during the actual competition or judging period (i.e. 5 hours) of the field trial. This includes the entire vicinity of the hunting/running grounds (i.e. kennel area, camping area, viewing area, etc).

All monies after expenses will be paid back to the Top 10 GTP.
