The 2017 USO is here and so is the first major winter storm of 2017. The USO has a history of hard hunts under harsh conditions, and this year promises to be no different. Tuesday cast will be on hard frozen ground that will test a hounds desire to finish day one with three more days of God only knows what lays in store for them. On Wed. the weather is supposed to be better but will sore feet prevail. I truly believe this hunt will be the all-time high speed and drive hunt in the 72 years of USO hunts. Hounds will be tested way beyond the average HGA hunt and I truly wonder who will finish three days at Old 74 and go to C & M and win the 2017 USO. The fourth day at C & M will decide who the 2017 winner will be if any can muster enough strength to finish!
If you finish in the top ten at this hunt be proud of what you have accomplished, because many were afraid to too come and compete in what has got to be America’s toughest hunt. Remember to be the best you have to beat the best, and only the bravest and best will be at the 2017 USO

sounds like fun, we had a coyote run us all most 7 miles today, snow isnt very deep all most 3 feet deep with a base down bout 12 inches, great running conditions was just above zero with a 10 mph wind out of the south west, good luck to all who make it to this big hunt...
