Re: Deer dog hunting back in North Louisiana Weyerhausier

It's nothing set in stone for anyone. As a club, if you qualify to run dogs, you got a letter. You then list all forms of dog hunting your club is interest in such as deer, hog, coon, etc. You send that in to Weyerhaeuser and they will either allow or deny each type of hunting based on size of club, history if problems with your club, any land sensitivities, tract configuration, and other market factors. This is not a broad sweeping, "everybody is back to running dogs" decision. It's on a lease by lease basis.

This email was sent out to all Weyerhausier lease in states that allow big game hunting with dogs. So far 3 of the biggest acre leases in North Louisiana have Been informed they will not be allowed to hunt with hounds. It doesn't look good for the rest of us. If any clubs get approval let me know. I'm thinking there using this to get rid of it on all there property. I hope I'm wrong
