What happened to the true hounds? Dogs that can do it in an out the wire? Dogs u can turn out listen to em run an they will b back home n the morning?

Hurricane Katrina did it in for me. Too much traffic on the roads around me. Some still have the same here but very few.

the hound environment has changes over the past 50 years. more traffic on the roads, more homes out in the country, and less acres to run on. when I was a young boy I could run from above hwy. 440 out of franklinton, la. to below joe branch fox pen outside of enon, la. on lee rd. and hardly ever see a car. now most of the land is leased to deer hunters and no outside dog hunting. what a great time back then when big hat bateman, Ronnie Dickerson and grandpa mike fisher and I had running all over that area. now a thing of the past.

got a kennel full run them twice a week outside fox and coyote and the occasional deer been havn good runnin all on the outside
