2019 KENNEL REGISTRATION GUIDELINES FOR K.O.Y. - MUST REGISTER BY JAN 31, 2019
2019 LEADERBOARD KENNEL REGISTRY--------------------------------------MUST REGISTER BY JAN 31st 2019
*ANY and ALL KENNELS wanting to compete for KENNEL OF THE YEAR (KOY) AWARDS For 2019, MUST REGISTER THEIR KENNEL HERE WITH THE LEADERBOARD KENNEL REGISTRY.
*This registry is AT NO COST TO YOU OR YOUR KENNEL BUT in order for us to keep track of the kennels and their members, it is a must for the leaderboard and sponsors.

*YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR KENNEL HERE ON THIS POST! IF YOU ARE NOT LISTED HERE ON THIS POST BY JAN 31st 2019, YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED OR BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY YEAR END AWARDS FOR THE LEADERBOARD KENNEL OF THE YEAR IN 2019. . . NO NEW KENNEL MEMBERS CAN BE ADDED AFTER JAN 31st 2019, UNTIL THE FOLLOWING YEAR.

*REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR 2019 WILL BE FROM DECEMBER 10TH UNTIL JANUARY 31ST, Even if your kennel was registered in 2017, YOU MUST DO IT AGAIN FOR 2019.

**Please Note 2017 MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES STILL APPLY FOR 2019**
–THE PURPOSE OF KOY IS TO RECOGNIZE AN INDIVIDUAL OR A FEW INDIVIDUALS FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS FROM FIELD TRIAL PLACEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
–As in 2017, a kennel can contain up to a MAXIMUM LIMIT OF 4 MEMBERS for registry, based on “RESIDENCY”.

**MEANING- NO KENNEL CAN HAVE MORE THAN 4 MEMBERS RESIDING AT SEPARATE RESIDENTS/ADDRESSES. Note – Spouses and children residing in a members home can be listed as members but are not included and counted as separate members because they reside at the same home. Meaning – Spouses and children DO NOT have to be listed as separate members because it is understood they are part of your family kennel.

*GRANDFATHERED KENNELS – Previously established kennels from 2016/2017, with more than the maximum limit of 4 members will be exempt and will be allowed to carryover and sustain their 2018 kennel membership registry with the same individuals in 2019. THESE **GRANDFATHERED KENNELS (kennels registered in KOY prior to 2017) can retain their membership above the MAXIMUM LIMIT OF 4 UNTIL listed MEMBERS ARE LOST.
NOTE- We have the list of 2016/2017 kennels and there is essentially only 15 kennels qualifying for exemption. ** MEANING- IF ANY OF THE 2016/2017 KENNELS, who had 5+ MEMBERS REGISTERED, lose a member, they cannot replace that member with a “new” member until they are below the limit of 4, at which time they can add a new name. IF A KENNEL HAD 7 MEMBERS REGISTERED IN 2016/2017 AND LOSES 1 MEMBER, THEY ARE NOW DOWN TO 6 MEMBERS FOR 2019. Grandfathered kennels members from 2016 cannot change except with the removal of a member until they are within the current established guidelines.

Registration is Simple-

#1. LIST YOUR KENNEL NAME AND AN ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER TO GO WITH IT.

#2. LIST ANY and ALL MEMBER(s) OF THE KENNEL.

On FEBRUARY 1st, we will put together the registered list from this post and those kennels and those kennels only will be eligible for yearend awards for KENNEL OF THE YEAR (KOY).
**NOTE- THIS REGISTERY IS FOR KENNEL OF THE YEAR PURPOSES ONLY!! DOES NOT AFFECT ANY AWARDS FOR HOUND OF THE YEAR, SIRE OF THE YEAR OR DAM OF THE YEAR….

Additionally, you may see YOUR KENNEL LISTED IN THE UPDATES DURING THE YEAR EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED BUT UNLESS YOU ARE REGISTERED HERE BY JANUARY 31 2019. YOUR KENNEL WILL BE ELIMINATED AT THE END OF THE YEAR WHEN WE FIGURE THE FINAL TOTALS FOR THE AWARDS.
