Paul Marvin Ricks has passed away.

Paul Marvin Ricks, 75, of Marion, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach.

Born in Marion, SC, Marvin was the son of the late Thomas B. Ricks and Ruby Ricks. He was a United States Navy Veteran who proudly served during Vietnam. Marvin retired from Stone Container after 43 loyal years. He attended Sunday School at Uncle Charlie’s Hut, Marion, SC and was inducted into the South Carolina Fox Hunters Hall of Fame in 2018. In addition to his parents, he predeceased by his brother, Phillip Thomas Ricks and his sister, Martha Anne Shepard.

Survivors include his loving children, Thomas Anderson “Andy” Ricks (Linsey Antol), Myrtle Beach; Tara (Michael) Leach, Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Myra Michelle Leach and John Anderson Ricks; brother, Joseph B. Ricks.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Richardson Funeral Home in Marion. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marvin’s name to Carolina Sporting Dog Association,3847 Major Evans Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
