Flat Hull Airboat

I want to build a flat hull airboat out of fiberglass and ABS Plastic. Going to use a .40 2-stroke engine. I was wondering if anybody knew how to keep it from flipping over. Would it? Is there anything you can add to the bottem of the hull. Also, if you want to run it up and over land, is foam with fiberglass over it and ABS over that be enough to take the pounding it gets? Where do you get that aluminum stuff that you put on the bottem of the airboat?

Re: Flat Hull Airboat

I build aluminum hulls and aircraft rivit oneeight or quarter inch uhmw to the bottom just like i do on my full blown big boats.
