Charley Reese's Final column!
A very interesting column.. COMPLETELY NEUTRAL
Be sure to Read the Poem at the end.

Charley Reese's final column for the Orlando Sentinel...
He has been a journalist for 49 years.
He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN.

Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000 People
-By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employeest the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible
They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you. This might be funny if it weren't so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end: Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, At which he's fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid... Put these words Upon his tomb, 'Taxes drove me to my doom...' AND THE POLITICIANS WANT TO RAISE TAXES AGAIN!!!
IF THEY DO, VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE ON THE NEXT ELECTION,
EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM, DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS
STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom, if agreed, stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'

I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!!

GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!!

Re: try again

Ima tool, I would agree with you if we still road mules and horses to work and did not need good roads to drive on so we don't tear up our vehicle's when we drive 100 miles to a field trial. Or we did'nt need a policeman around every now and then when someone needs help. I could go on forever, the FACT is if everyone would pay their fair share of taxes ( General Electric paid 0 taxes last year) and the big companies quit charging the goverment 50% more than a product cost and we could get out of these wars we don't need to be in. And make sure the social programs we do have are run like they should be, we would have plenty money and we all would be able to pay LESS in taxes. Not just big businesses and million and billion heirs. I guess I just think as an American it is our responsbilty to make sure all Americans are treated equaly and to help those who cannot help themselves. God Bless

And we elect them people, they don't appoint themselves, that is called a democracy. So when you point a finger remember they are 3 pointing back at you.

Re: try again

with all do respect wormy we are a REPUBLIC, we no you don't like that word

Re: try again

Think about this.
1. If you raise the taxes on Wal Mart, it will hire less people and make you stand in line longer or maybe raise prices.
2. You tax Doctors, Lawyers.or anyone else that is rich They will raise their prices,
3. You tax oil or gas. you will pay the tax at the pump.
So anytime you hear someone wanting to tax the rich, all they are doing is taxing the middle class. All taxes come to the working class, I know there will be some that disgree with this, but thatis what this board allows us to do. Good Hunting

Re: try again

Good to hear from you Worm, as you've been way too quiet. Barack needs your help more than ever now, even his own "peeps" are turning on him. Check out this video. Please note it has a censored and unsencensored version. The latter version is pretty raw, so be forwarned. It is certainly to the point though! http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/08/11/epic-viral-video-rant-against-obama-language-warning/

Re: try again

Mr. DuBois, would you please share with the world

what you do to make ends meet(what is your job/type

work you do)?

Re: try again

Jeremy, I am a teacher/coach in a high school.

Re: try again

cogent sentences that is indisputable
you can not legislate the poor into prosperity.
by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
the goverment cannot give to anybody anything that the goverment does not take first from somebody else.
you can not multiply wealth by dividing it.
when half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work, because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because someone else is going to get what they work for that is the beginning of the end of any nation can you think of a reason not to share this niether can I

Re: try again

If I was as rich as you assume, I would not be 39

years old preparing to get a masters degree to try

another profession. Please advise me where you teach

as I do not want to work there if I am more "rich"

than you. You are suppose to be more insightful than

your post suggest.

By the way, I am one of the "rich" lawyers you were

bashing. If you do not like teaching and its

benefits, why don't you redirect your energy and

brilliance to a profession where you set the fees?

Re: try again

Maybe all will read potlicker's post. Atleast he understands.

Re: try again

Jeremy Your lack of comprehension of what I posted is maybe the reason you have to go back to look for another job. Now that said I stand by my statement and for those that understand my post understand I did not bash anyone. For the most part Doctors and Lawyers run small business and I was offering an example of what happens when government tax small buiness. I am sorry to here you can't make it but don't take your frustration out on me. I enjoy my job and do it because I like it, not to get rich. I could have been a lawyer and done that ( get Rich). May God help you be succesful in your new job. *If someone else thinks I bash these please let me know that was not my intent.

Re: try again

Brad, you being a teacher maybe you can tell us what the tax rate for the top 2% percent of wage earners was during world war 1 And if you would listen to something other than FOX news you might not be so pesamistic. If my memory serves me right, even Ronald Reagan raised taxes as did Bill Clinton and we done pretty good. Left Bush a surplus. All they are wanting is for the rich to pay thier fair share not more. What makes them any different than me or you. All I hear is that they create jobs, and they do, BUT with out the working people who is going to buy thier product? who builds thier factories? Why do people have to be so greedy? What does a millionaire want the most? Another million. Well God Bless them. And myself I think you and all school teachers should be making at least $100,000 a year or more, people tend to forget who the most important people are when it comes to educating our children. With out a teacher no one will grow up to be much more than a bumb this day in time

Yeah Mr. Laverne it has been a while, and yeah Barrack does need a little help to fix our country because it has been very obvious that the REPUBLICANS don't care what happens to us just a long as he don't succeed If you are on Americas team, weither you like the quaterback or not you should play to win. They have not let him have the ball yet. But the American people are figuring out what is going on. I said it once and I will say it again he will win the next election with a larger margin than the first. People has to remember the world just don't revolve around foxhunters or South Mississippi.

Re: try again

Worm,

You are a prototypical liberal hypocrite... Saying Republicans should be on Obamy's team. Refresh my memory - how many days did the Democrats stay on the team of George W Bush??? Oh yeah that's right, they were bashing him his 1st day in the oval office. Not saying GWB was a great President by any means, but Obamy sure the heck isn't either! Both of the fools spent our country into oblivion and Obamy is a freaking socialist to boot!!!

Re: try again

Yea BUT Obama will be re-elected and this country is getting better everyday even though the Republicans are fighting him every step of the way!!! Here in Baton Rouge ; 3 years ago one of the biggest private companies would not jump out and spend millions of dollars with the bush idiot in office BUT 2 years after Obama is elected they are building the New Womans Hospital!!Same thing in Livingston Parish with the Juban Park Development!! So Obama(all the new jobs and businesses spending money lots of money) has proven we are doing better than we were with dumbo in office!!All the republicans said the same thing when Clinton was elected and he straightened the mess out; Obama just has a bigger mess!!!

Re: try again

Worm sorry you read me wrong. I was not giving my opion, I was saying how our economy works. It does not matter if Bush or Oboma is in office.
Taxes will be moved along to the working class. Even if they start with companies, the rich, or small business. I know sometimes it is hard to believe this but I challengan you to follow the results of one of these groups being taxed. I do believe the more you spend the more you should pay, but the way our system is set up now that does not work.
Spending and taxing is one economic way to get out of a recession according to some economist. My feeling is the change of the federal reserve chairman was the turning point in this recession. I would love to see Greenspan back. Greenspan was in from the late 80's untill 2007 or so. In another economist opion the government can't and should not try to solve the problems in the economy.
Worm thanks for reading and the nice words for teachers. I am ready for the economy to get better, less hope it does soon. Good Hunting

Re: try again

Well I think it is time we take Buffet advice and start taxing the millionares!!Like he said his secratary payes more taxes than he does!! Anyone with a brain can see something wrong with this !!

Re: try again

Good old A. Greenspan.

Just a few days back, he said "print more money to pay the U.S. debt"!

Re: try again

The liberals have issued their new set of talking points, and, as usual, instead of taking any responsibility for their failed policies, they are trying to turn the tables and demonize you just as Saul Alinsky taught them in “Rules For Radicals”! They are using one of his first rules of propaganda, which is that if you repeat a lie enough, people will accept it as the truth. The Tea Party movement is not insignificant, racist, terrorist or even radically right-wing. The Tea Party movement is a political movement driven by regular, everyday American people who are concerned about the impact that reckless fiscal policies will have on the prosperity of our children and grandchildren.

The liberal media has been driving the narrative that the Tea Party movement is actually a front for scary “big” corporations and billionaires like the Koch brothers. They are advancing the idea that we are some kind of conspiracy, and, sadly, the lie is being repeated enough that some of the less informed voters are starting to believe the lie. The Tea Party isn’t some kind of conspiracy or a right-wing mob. The Tea Party movement is a set of ideas being advanced by Grandmas and Grandpas, Moms and Dads, Retail Workers, Dishwashers, Entrepreneurs and Doctors and others from many walks of life. We have united to fight for limited government, personal responsibility, and the free market just as our founding fathers did when they were farmers and craftsmen and rose up together to fight against taxation and tyranny by their government at that time. The American people need to see and hear that we aren’t the boogey men that we are being made out to be.

Re: try again

Why was it okay for Obama to accept more than a million inflation-adjusted dollars from Goldman Sachs employees if it was wrong, as liberals protested at the time, for George W. Bush to accept less than one-seventh as much (less than 150,000-inflation adjusted dollars) from Enron? Then wonder aloud at the brilliance of Goldman Sachs—investing in its own bailout and (with donations to the man sure to take his place) buying top-notch jobs in the Obama administration for a discount price. or why won't obama donate half of that 1 billion he is suppose to raise for his campaine to so called less fortunate hypocrosy at its worse

Re: try again

I think Mr. Greenspan was saying that the whole idea of a credit rating agency releasing a rating on the US is pointless since there is no way the US would default on our debt. If push comes to shove we would print more money to pay off the debt. That would devalue the dollar but the debt would be paid off and the US would not default.
It is funny that S&P downgraded the US credit rating and folks started pulling money out of the stock market to buy US treasury bonds. The whole world knows that US treasuries are the safest place to store your money.

Re: try again

Playing with the stock market is about like playing the lottery ; just as good of odds!!!

Re: try again

Dow drops 500pts. at opening bell. Looks like retired life is about over.

Re: try again

VILENCE IS BIG LABOR TRADITION
There's nothing wrong, or un-democratic, or un-American about militancy. It's part of our tradition."

That's one Communications Workers of America (CWA) union official's spin in response to news reports about rampant intimidation and militancy on the picket lines in the strike against Verizon ordered by CWA and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union brass.
New disturbing reports break every day.
Union strikers shot at one worker. Another injured his arm after union goons pushed him into scaffolding. Verizon's security chief receives hundreds of reports of sabotage, intimidation, or violence daily.
With 143 acts of sabotage since August 7, the first day of the strike, company officials and independent-minded workers aren't the only victims.
When union militants cut phone lines, Verizon customers who just want their phones to work may be unable to call for help in an emergency. IBEW union militants even picketed outside a 64 year old woman's house because she had the audacity to let a Verizon technician repair her broken phone line.
The CWA union boss is right about one thing: union militancy is a big part of Big Labor's tradition.
Just last week, far from the union picket lines against Verizon, John King, a nonunion electrical contractor in Toledo, Ohio woke up in the middle of the night to sounds in his driveway. The motion light turned on, and he went outside to investigate -- and found someone vandalizing his car.
The vandal stood up, shot King in the arm, and fled the scene.OBAMA TURNS A BLIND EYE just like he did when the black panthers were toting base ball bats at voting places in 08,tea party moms and gramas are extremist

Re: try again

That is the way it should . If you want to cross a picket line you better have a bullet proof vest and a football helmet! Shot them rats!!!

Re: try again

LMAO - what fantasy world are you living in that things are improving?... Have you seen what the stock market has done the last two weeks or heard the latest unemployment reports? I would say we're heading for recession #2 vs. the golden picture you have painted!!!

Re: try again

LMFAO you must be a republican!! The stock market is going to do that for a long time; why? Because a lot of people are getting smart and are taking the money they have earned out of it!!People need to stop trying to get rich quick and just work to make a living!! Invest in savings accounts and a good retirement program!! OH wait that is what the Electrical workers are trying to get but the rats keep trying to cross the picket line!! You probably believed Bachman when she said she would get gas prices down below $2 a gallon!! Take about some Kool-Aid!!

Re: try again

Fact Check at least the liberals know the difference in ELVIS'S Birthday and the day he died. The reason the Union Members get so mad is because it is the DUES PAYING members which form the UNION that KEEPS THE WAGES UP FOR THOSE WHO DON'T JOIN A UNION. Do you really think the NON UNION Companies would pay wages close to the UNION'S if they thought thier employees would not join a UNION. COME on man that is why the I B E W was formed on November, 28, 1891. Study a little history and you might learn a thing or to about this country. So if and when you or anybody work's on a DAVIS-BACON job be sure and thank a UNION MEMBER, he or she is paying dues so YOU who do not can make a decent living wage.

Myself I think everybody pays a little to close attention the wall st, need to pay more attetion to main st. We can stop China from getting more of the U.S. if we would start making sure to purchase AMERICAN MADE PRODUTS! They can't sell product's if you don't buy them.

Brad, I guess I'm to optimistic for most people but what goes down must come up.

It looks like I got a few more people on my side than I used to have. People seem to change thier minds when they find out the TRUTH.

And the most important thing, had running from 9:30 last night to 8:30 this morning on the outside

Jeremy when you head back this way give me a call a week or 2 ahead of time and we will go run some hounds.

Re: try again

Kermie,

I pray you keep your good job. I know you are a hard

working and intelligent electrician. I wish I had the

health to do a real physical job. Politics aside, I

am glad we live in a country where a person who will

work can find employment. No one and I mean no one

ever talks about that fact. If it gets bad enough for

me, I will go to work anywhere but might have to have

an accomodation or two.

Re: try again

He and his liberal allies in Congress keep telling us (1) the administration is interested in balancing the budget, (2) the Tea Party is protecting tax cuts on corporate jets and (3) the Tea Party wants to protect "millionaires and billionaires" from paying "their fair share." As my family in the South would say, that dog don't hunt!

First, let's do away with any pretense that Barack Obama is in any way concerned about balancing the budget. President Bush was certainly no budget hawk, and he added $5 trillion to the national debt in his 8-year presidency. Barack Obama, on the other hand, is on pace to break that mark in his first 3 years in office! If Obama was interested in balancing the budget, there would have been some evidence of that since January 15, 2011. Instead, he's ramped up spending with total disregard for how soaring deficits can affect the economy.

The first tax that Obama loves to mention is a tax break on "corporate jets." Sure, as the Obama administration subjects travellers to pat-downs and gropes, he no doubt is trying to turn that anger against those who escape it. But the policy proposal that talking point was written for wouldn't force corporations to pay taxes on all private jet travel, it would only require the business expenses associated with chartered airplane travel to be written off over 7 years instead of 5. In reality, that new tax would only account for one tenth of one percent of the budget shortfall! This talking point is just a ploy to channel everyone's anger about air travel into a support for far-reaching tax cuts that would affect everyday Americans.

Obama claims that you and I are protecting "millionaires and billionaires" from paying their fair share. In reality, the top one percent of wage earners pay 38% of taxes. That's their fair share AND the fair share of 37 other people! The more egregious part of this claim, however, is that the top tax bracket, which Obama wishes to raise, starts at $250,000. This tax will affect far more small-business owners than millionaires and billionaires.

Small Business is the engine that drives our economy. It accounts for 99.7% of all employer firms, has generated 64% of the net new jobs in the past 15 years, and pays 44% of the total private payroll in this country. When the small business owners are subjected to higher tax rates, this not only reduces their purchasing power, but it limits the number of dollars they have to hire new employees. It's not a tax increase levied against people who can absorb it, it's an ideological attempt at redistributing wealth at the expense of new jobs and economic recovery.

If the President wants to have an honest discussion on how to grow the economy while shrinking the deficit, then the American public is ready to listen. But he's more interested in advancing his ideological agenda at the expense of job creation, and he thinks we're just dumb enough to buy it.

no we can't thank no one who, gave hundreds of millions of dollars to the dnc and obama's campange,
if you believe in the AMERICA we grew up in. union boys have the same oppertunity as anyone else to be wealthy only thing holding you back is you and the want too. we no you like that job security and point fingers and play the blame game. get your talking points from the dnc,via the unions

Re: try again

What did Buffet say the other day" My Secretary pays more taxes than I do"! ANYONE with a brain can see something wrong with this!!!His secretary probably makes $50,000 a year and he makes millions and she pays more taxes!!! I spelled it out for you fact checker maybe you can understand!!!!!!

Re: try again

How come Mr. Buffet didn't take Pat Buchanon's challenge when he asked him why he didn't just start things off and send the Fed Gov. a check for 50 million if he was so woried about it.

Re: try again

Because they do not become millionaires be giving ; they get it by TAKING!!!!!

Re: try again

I've read every post and think if you all checked out Ron Paul read what he says you would agree he is the man!Media, dems, and reps won't hardly say his name...why you ask because he won't play their B.S. GAMES! He is all about fixin this once great country! OUR problem is voting down the D or R column.Everyone is me me me me!Get everyone working and paying taxes and we could lower taxes. We have to stop spending, it doesn't work at home it won't work in DC.Keep a open mind(good luck with that one)and read about him and the ones you defend and make your choice that way not just D or R and then vote! And hopefully about 2/3's of the aholes we have will be GONE! That being said I am goin to run hounds while I still can! I better shoot at a target too while I still can!

Re: try again

hey fact checker- if you would have listened. what he actually said was his he paid a lower percentage. he still paid $6,938,744.00 . just in case thats too many numbers, it's over 6 million dollars. speaking of paying their fair share. why don't 49% of americans pay any taxes?..........tony

Re: try again

WOW some get it and some are still hanging on to the ones that got us here, The dems are not the same party that my parent and grandparent belong to. My grandfather was a top official in the dems party in lower Al.If he was alive he would not be part of it today. The reps are just as bad. Both partys just spend money like the have plenty of it.the problem with that is that it our money(WE THE PEOPLE) My kids and yours will be paying for the debt the last two presidents and congress gave us. WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TO LATE. Dont vote party line. vote for the person that will stop the spending.

Re: try again

You tha man Mr. Tool.

Re: try again

Liberals believe in egalitarianism. They don't often get called on it, though, because no one bothers to defend elitism—but you should. "So you really disapprove of competition and hierarchy and achievement and want everything to be equal do you? Well, answer me this, if you were president and you needed a handful of troops to do a delicate, dangerous job, who would you turn to—a unit of racially and sexually and disability diverse troops or the elite: Special Forces, Navy Seals, Delta Force? When you watch football, assuming you're willing to watch something so violent and competitive, do you want to watch the elite, the best of the best, the professionals who made it to the NFL on the basis of their talent and training, or a United Nations coordinated rainbow coalition of teams drawn from men and women from around the world to make it a truly global unisex game? Or suppose you needed serious surgery, would you prefer the operation to be done by a surgeon with years of practice behind him, drawn from the elite of the medical profession, or by a deserving recent immigrant, selected for the task as a result of the new Obamafair™ social justice program designed to boost the self-esteem of low-skill workers while simultaneously combating society's sexist, racist, elitist hegemony?" tell us worm

Re: try again

tell us
I'll tell you, I love compatition, hierarchy and especially achievement. The problem I have is, not everyone is fair at getting there!!! I don't care for a cheater or a thief and don't really care for someone who hide's behind a fake name. If I pay $.25 on a dollor, I don't see why a millionaire can't pay $.25 on a dollor. That's being fair.

And one reason 49% of americans don't pay taxes, is because the businesses that hire them don't pay them enough to survive so they get an earned income tax credit. Maybe if these businesses and coorparations would take some of them 10 million dollor BONUS NOT SALARY, away from that 1 CEO and AND GIVE THE EMPLOYEE'S A RAISE, they will be more people paying taxes.

Re: try again

Worm they will NEVER let that pass because the republicans can not hide from paying their fair share !!!!

Re: try again

The american people have no one to blame but themselves. They elected all these officials and now they are crying about what THESE elected officials are doing. Personally i didnt vote in any of the past elections because none of these officials are FOR the american people. When we have somebody who stands up and says "As President I will do for the AMERICAN PEOPLE WHAT CONGRESS ALLOWS ME TO DO" then that is the man we need to vote for. We can sit up here and argue with each other about this or we can all step back and look in the mirror or our neighbors and say "HEY we have done this to ourselves" Just my two cents worth.

Re: try again

wake up people you are just as much to blame! We the people can't just sit back and wait for someone to SAVE us, we need to research ALL the canidates and VOTE for who we think will best serve ALL of America not just some special intrest groups, except hound hunting of course! It is to easy now adays with the internet! JUST DO IT!!!!!!!

Re: try again

Mister wake up people, if you don't vote don't say nothing. That is a big part of the problem right now. People like you not voting, but crying because someone else did. If you don't like America enough to go vote please feel free to leave, we will never know your gone. Many families have made huge sacrafices for the Americian people to vote, to hear someone say they just don't want to vote then give their views on government is a joke.

Re: VOTER

First all you are about as dumb as anybody i have ever seen because u cant read a simple post and understand it. I didnt vote because i didnt like the canidates and what they stood for. 2nd of all i'm not crying I am stating a fact that the american people put themselves in the position that we are in now. 3rd of all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE explain to me what a family has to sacrifice to take 5 minutes out of there life to go to a school house to vote. Like i said you are either to dumb to understand the statement or you are one of the people who voted for the politicians to put us in this situation. . AND trust me i would be missed if i left this country.

Re: try again

not true worm, i have 6 truck drivers that make between $35k and $40k a year. 3 of them don't pay any because they have 5 plus kids each. hows that my fault or the other 3 drivers fault? why should we pay extra? i stopped at 2 kids.................tony

Re: try again

wake up if you don't like any on the ballot write in the names of the people you think are best. It works a person in Alaska won this year as a write in!Who knows alot of people may be thinking like you, it might even be me!We darn sure didn't have much to choose from at the last presidential election!I know if my guy doesn't get the nomination I will still vote for him as will alot of other people.

Re: try again

Tony, I never said that you are your other drivers had to pay more. I said everyone should pay the same tax rate per dollor. Now referring to what I said about the 49%, how would you survive with 2 kids at $40K a year, without help

And I told yall back in 2008 that we would have a black President, I know Bird and Potlicker is not going to like this, but Mississippi is going to get it's 1st black Governor in November, like it or not. You heard it 1st on masterfox news

Ima tool, you are right on to check the canidate out before you vote. I know I'm going to vote for the one who agree's that the working class people need the tax break not the Big Coop's and millionaires. Know who would that might be

Re: try again

Tell a liberal how much you appreciate that the Obama economy is a system of checks and balances.
He writes the checks, you pay the balance.stimulus

Re: try again

Worm you and i know that none of them are going to do by themselves. They will only if there phones get blown up be WE THE PEOPLE letting them know that the spending has got to stop.the waste has got to stop. they must all so know that we what jobs back not the service jobs but we need factory jobs. we need to start making things.

Re: try again

Ray you act like that is a lot of money!! How many benefits go along with that pay? You know if they make $40K and have to pay $15K health insurance the cannot feed the family on that!! But I am sure you are paying for a decent health insurance for them!!!!

Re: try again

Just MY opinion but..."WE the People" quit being the voice of our society during the Viet Nam era. Over 75% of our country was against entering the war and "our" Goverment tried to down play it by calling it a "Conflict". No matter if ya call it a Goverment enity or a Business,it you don't have more coming in than going out it's not going to exist very long! Ya still can't bea the pay as you go system;if ya can't pay,ya can't go!

Re: try again

After reading some of the post here I think we are going about hunting in the wrong way.
First hunters like me who are poor and have sorry dogs needs to get good dogs from some of you winners. For free of course. Then since we or poor someone will have to feed them for us. Got to be the hunters at the top they can afford it. We will have to have someone pay our entry fee and maybe gas money to get there. We will also have to eat , there can be a food stamp program for hunters. I know all you will want to give to this. LMAOROF
I know you hunters are saying this guy is stupid and a little insane. I ask am I, WE as Americans do this every day and don't think about it. You people who want to help out would you help the guys in my senario. If not why the double standards.
If you can't afford it don't do it!!!!!!
