Will be held the 3rd weekend in October at Poole's Foxhound Training Preserve. We are casting dogs Saturday & Sunday October 20th & 21st at 7 PM. Roll Call at 6:15 AM each day. Trophies given to the top 10 males and females. There is also an award for the over all highest scoring dog of the hunt. Top five males and females get a 50 lb bag of dog food. We will also be having a Bench Show and Corn hole Tournament on Saturday, and Raffle on Sunday. Registration and drawling for numbers will be held Friday October 19th. It will be $30 a dog.

REGISTRATION & DRAWLING FOR NUMBERS: Friday October 19th from 1PM to 3:25 pm. At 3:30 PM Friday we will draw for numbers. If you can’t make it for registration due to work you can pre-register email, text or phone call to 804-514-7486 or fctrain@msn.com. Preregistration Opens October 1st. If you aren’t 100% sure you will be there in time to register, you are better off pre-registering and if it turns out you can make you can come and draw your numbers. Those who can’t be there to register and draw for numbers due to work need to pre-register and we will draw numbers for you (numbers will be draw in front of everyone to make sure things are done fair, and with drawling for numbers no one has a better opportunity to get numbers than anyone else).

MEASURING: There is an 18 inch height limit. There will be strict measuring to the 18 inch height limit. All dogs must be painted and measured by 11PM Friday night. (we are doing a pre-registration and measuring up until 11PM Friday not as many folks don’t have to take off work).

BENCH SHOW: All dogs that finish the first day can entered in the bench show. The bench show will be free to all dogs registered for the hunt. Bench show starts 3PM Saturday. Plaques giving to the top ten males and females. As well as a combination winner to the best dog overall in the field and the bench.

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT: Will Start at 5PM Saturday October 20th. YOU DON’T HAVE TO RUN DOGS TO GET IN THE CORNHOLE TOURAMENT, GET YOUR FRIENDS TO COME. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE HUNTING DOG ALLIANCE. Registration for the corn hole tournament will start on 1PM Saturday October 20th. You can also register for corn hole when you register your dogs. Corn hole will be $20 per team or $10 per person. There will be 2 classes. A social class and a competition class (the competition class is for the ringers and the social class is for folks who just want to enter to have fun).

RAFFLE: We will also be selling raffle tickets Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The raffle will be held right before the award ceremony on Sunday. We need as much support for this hunt as possible. This hunt raises money for the VA Hunt Dog Alliance. All proceeds go towards protecting our hound hunting heritage here in VA. The VaHDA had a major part in leading the charge protecting our fox pens here in VA in the general assembly this year and the VaHDA will help lead the fight again next year. VaHDA fought tooth and nail to protect hounding hunting during the hound Study in 2008. There are just a few of the things the Hunting Dog Alliance has done to keep our sport alive. IF YOU DON'T HAVE BEAGLES COME OUT THE RAFFLE OR COME OUT TO THE CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT.

Also the winner of the male and female class will be named a VA State Field Champion.
