My cat figured it out within a few days. I had just never witnessed two virgin kitties going at it, but nature took its course. Another month and I'll have little red maine coons in my house.

I have two registered breeding Maine Coons and am trying to mate them for the first time. The problem is that my male is mounting my female way too high up on her back and doesn't show any signs of figuring out what to do. This has only been going on for a week, but I'd like to know if there is anything that I should do or just let nature take its course. They are both just over one year old. If i try to position him correctly, he immediately dismounts. Foxy (my female) is quite frustrated. Thanks for any information.
