C&M’s first 2 day hunt turned out to be a good one. Weather was great, good dogs to compete, and great judges, what more could we have asked for. I want to thank our Master of Hounds, Tommy Carter, for doing a great job. The other judges were as follows and also did a great job: Dwight Little, Rachel Connelly, Danny Powers, Brad Howell,Curt Arnette, Kevin Howell, Bill McGee, Jay Child, Dwayne Enzor, Mike McShane, Brandon McKeithan, Butch Howell, David Godwin and Canon Ward. The judges stayed busy both days and the scores showed it. We had 73 entries and it took 1775 points to get in the top ten and 1860 points to win. A big thank you goes to all the hunters who supported the hunt. Hope you had a good time. Another thank you goes to my wife Hilda Ward and to Lisa McShane for computer scoring and helping me get the meals together. Also thank you Lacy Batten for assisting me with the other many task that needed doing. Our winners received dog feed donated by several feed companies and matched by C&M. Feed donations came from Mike Carr with Pride Feed, picked up from Wills feed store in Chadbourn,NC. Bill McGee with Purina donated feed and 10 feed bowls. Randy McGovern with Showtime Feed.,picked up from The Cement Barn in Cerro Gordo and Buddy Boy Feed , picked up from Anderson Hunting Hound supply in Lumberton . Johnson’s Telemetry donated to winner a gift certificate for a recovery collar or one collar refurbishment. We really appreciate all the donations and I hope all of you will support these companies.
