Wish I could help you. My family is from Newton. My mother can remember nights with my grandfather running red wolves the last few years before they were systematically trapped to be saved from extinction. They deer, cat, and wolf hunted virtually hundreds of thousands of acres for free with no problems until still hunting became a thing and folks began leasing land in the late 70s. My late grandfather always told me that he would've given everything he had to be able to take me back to the 60s and 70s and the glory days of outside hunting. He moved to coastal Georgia in the late 70s and luckily didn't have to witness his way of life stripped from the locals by the state and outsiders
