During this lockdown and having finished my latest model fishing boat, a French Bautier, I started to research my family history.
It appears that my great grandfather, David Turnidge, owned or mastered a fishing boat at Leigh on Sea named the Angler and registered LO11 circa 1830.
Obviously I would love to make an accurate model of this boat but have no further details. Can you tell me if there is a central or local register that may say what type of boat this is, possibly a Bawley or smack etc, and length ?
