I grew up with white cats...families of them with a dark spot on their heads (breed unknown). We called them Salt & Pepper cats and we loved their sweetness. I became a dog lover as a young person, but always had cats in my heart. When my young son was diagnosed with autism, I was devastated of course. He was always drawn to the neighbor\'s and friend\'s cats, but had a terrible allergy to cats. After many years of loving dogs with him, and after many years of him receiving allergy shots at the Allergy Clinic, I am ready to get him a cat. My son is now 22 year old, and I believe the time is right (within the next 1-3 years...I\'m a patient person!) Of course my choice is the baby-face white Persian, which I\'ve admired for so many years. I\'ll be putting myself on your waiting list probably between now and early 2014 (it\'ll be here before we know it)! The smile I will see on my boy\'s face when he sees his very own kitten will be priceless! Thank you for loving your cats rather than just breeding them for sale. As for the possibility of deafness in a blue-eyed cat, well, I\'ve had plenty of special needs characters in my house over the years...both the four-legged type and the two-legged type! Their specialness has brought both my son and I lots of joy, companionship, and love.
