Great site! I just obtained a Hound dogs Snoopy patch and was wondering the story behind it. I have the GAM-77 Snoopy patch already. Thank you, Al Niedrich, USAF, Retired |

Been stumbling around the internet for years. Have no idea why I never thought to "Google" AMMS or Hound Dog. Found the 06091A Class Picture from Chanute and will upload it soon as I get things figured out. Loved the site. Found lots of old buddies names and hope to keep in touch. Great site. Made my day. |

I was stationed at Loring in 64-66 in AirFrame Structural(Arch Hangar) I remember the times I went to your shops to work on the Quail and Gam 77 missles. I ran into a character named Gus or Sam. I wondered if you knew anyone with these nicknames and what his real name is. After all these years, I found a screwdriver that belongs to AMMS, can you believe this? I foun it in an old trunk in my uncles garage in NY state. It looks like AMS or AMMS is stamped in the plastic handle. It's a little rusty and the common tip is crooked. I think I accidently grabbed it during my last ORI at Loring just before I left. It got shipped with a bunch of my automotive tools from the base Hobby shop. I spent a whole lot of time there working on my Corvair Spider. I won't ramble on anymore because I'm laughing at myself for all the years this was missing, lol. |
