What did you think of the book? |
It's been on my shelf for years. Picked it up recently and began reading. I could hardly put it down. I am so blessed by the commitment of you four young men to be yielded to the Lord and used by Him. Your story stirred my heart and quickened my spirit to a deeper commitment to Christ. |

I will be leaving the US to serve in the Czech Republic in a few months. Support raising and trusting God to provide is truly a faith building activity. Your book encourages me to keep praying and know that God will make a way! |

I thought the book was great. What iI liked was how the book doesn't brag about the events but tells of them. It seemed like it was made to tell about the power of good deeds and the power of faith, not trying to bring the writers to fame. |

Throughout my life I have always heard of people trying to convince people to follow Christianity, but I never got an idea of what it really was. I have always liked the idea of doing the right thing, being generous and selfless, but I never really knew that following in the steps of Jesus would support this so much. This book made me see that being Christian isn't just about going to church and praying, but following in the steps of Jesus and devoting yourself to not only the Lord, but to a life of subconcious generousity and kindness. |

I'm involved with the Women's Missionary Unit (WMU) at my Baptist church and look forward to sharing this book with the women there. Thank you for writing it; and for going on this journey. |

Awesome, I started it at a pretty rough time of my life a few years ago and set it down somewhere during the first chapter, but picked it up about 3 weeks ago and decided to finish and so glad I did. |

Very envious of you guys and what you experienced, I know it wasn't easy, but it had to be an awesome adventure. It made me relaize how easy and unchallanged we have it here living out our faith and how sad it is we don;t appreciate the freedom and opportunity to worship and witness we do have. |

it's awe-some. you guys are great.you're amazingly honest delivering the picture as you saw it. it felt like reading diaries. also your comments are tender enough not to affect the reader or lead them to a specific direction. you need to go larger you will definitly make a difference. best of luck |

1- for muslims GOD is tender, loving and caring and also fearful only when disobied in major issues which are the basic 10 sins in christianity & jewdism as well. unfortunately the islam applied widely these days, intimidating people & nurturing the fear over mercy is SAUDI ARABIA made, all for political reasons & empty self esteem also the lust for a role. 2- next time you come to Egypt you'll find lots & lots of females but only in the afternoons! we work harder than guys in the mornings & we get the power, titles & the money more than guys do here Keep it up i hope you be heared more. if there's anything to do, i would be glad to know |

awesome to read a book that doesn't claim to have all the answers to the questions i have, but helped me struggle thru them. there are so many christian "self help" books out there with their 7 steps to this or 40 days to that. four souls was very refreshing and real. |

thank you for this book. it came at a time where i am preparing to take my family to india for 6 months to a year. i found the words in the book a big encouragement and faith booster. early on in the book it was said that there comes a time when we just have to step out of the plane and trust that the parachute will work. thankfully God is much more trustworthy than a parachute. i would just like to ask for prayer that we as a family would be mouldable in God's hands as we step out of the comforts of the plane. thank you. |

There is nothing more encouraging to me than hearing stories of how God is moving in peoples' lives here, and around the world. This book was exactly that. I took a lot from the personal spiritual struggles they went through and was excited to hear about what God is up to. He's a good guy that God, and I'm excited to see what he does next. Thanks for the encouragement and keep pressing on in Christ. |

I am almost finished. It is such a great real life story. I am 36 years old and I went on a mission trip to Belize, CA when I was in college for a 6 week trip. It totally changed my life. Only those who have actually gone on a mission trip, whether within the US or without, can thoroughly understand your passion for what you did. |

I hope that anyone who is interested in missions will read this book. I love biographies and real life stories, it helps me connect with other Christians and what they are going through, even if it is through a book. |

What did you think of the book? |
The book was awesome! God gave it to me at a time in my life when I was looking to actively strengthen my faith. Your reflections and experiences were exactly what I needed and God has used them to speak to me. Reading the book has made me all the more excited about what God will do with my own life and relationship with Him; it has also made me more aware of the hurt and evil and spiritual darkness that must be overcome in this world. Believe me, I don't plan on being idle. Pretty deep and defining stuff for a teen on a narrow and slippery road, isn't it? But that's what makes it so wonderful! I had looked in that same bargin bin at least three times! I had overlooked your book at least three times! But something compelled me to go back and look again. God wanted me to find and read your book; He wanted to share what He had revealed to you on this trip with me. (I feel so special! ) Even though the book was published several years ago(and the trip took place several years before that) God is still using it to reach people! |

I love this website! I was thrilled when I learned about it. I enjoyed reading the bios and learning about what you boys did after you got back home. I love the features: the guest map, the recomended reading, the photos. Jedd's poetry is great! I love to write, and I found it so encuoraging! I think I'm going to frame some of it and hang it on my bedroom wall. I hope that the Lord will continue to bless you, and give me the chance to serve Him like He gave to you. ><> |

What did you think of the book? |
Dear guys, I just finished reading your book this morning. I've journaled it as I will be leading a book club discussion on it at the end of the summer but also I am sending little quotes to Tiphany and the 3 other girls (which I in my previous entry told you about) who are doing a similar trip around the world inspired by your book:) I am full of emotion right now. I hated on one hand to finish the book for it so wonderfully took me out of Suburbia USA and gave me more of a glimpse of the world, it's people, cultures, and our brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a fine job. Very well written and very interesting and inspiring. Praise the Lord. |

Tiphany and the other 3 girls (who I previously mentioned to you in my last entry) will be leaving language school this Friday and serving in Guatemala City with a Pastor David whose congregation ministers to the poor and street gangs. So they are actually beginning... Thanks alot Trey and Jedd for writing (to me Trey and to them Jedd). It meant alot to me and them. God's richest blessing on you four and may the Lord continue to inspire young and old from your book to make each day count for eternity. With love and gratitude to God for you. What did you think of the book? |
I'm reading it right now and journaling...but I had to stop to let you four guys know that my daughter Tiphany and three others (Julie, Lauren and Katie) have taken off only this past June 12 on a similar adventure that was stimulated by out youth leader, Julie Weldon, by reading your book! She prayed about it alot and felt God calling her to do something similar. Then the 3 other girls joined the trip having specifically felt God calling them. They too have started in Guatemala at a language school in Antigua (where they currently are right now). Their next step I believe is on to Guatemala City to work among the poor with a Pastor David.....They too have a web site. I thought you guys might like to check it out since they were inspired by your book and God clearly brought this team together. You could even add to their guest book some encouragement as they have just begun. They too plan to be gone a little over a year returning next July. Their web site is: http://lonelyplanet.mytripjournal.com/fourgirlsoneworld |

One last thought. Your book is excellent. I am personally being built up and encouraged in my faith as well as being supplied with lots of ways to be praying for our 4 girls... God bless you all richly. Together in His love, Barbara Speck, Tiphany's mom |

After reading Four Souls 4 times, I still find myself laughing, crying, and cringing at the same spots. It never grows old, and the conclusion that the 'epic life' can be found right now where I'm at serves as a great reminder as to how I should live my life. |

I have used this book to help teach geography and culture in my world history class three times now. I am always encouraged by the positive response by the students as they learn and grow with Jedd, Mike, Matt and Trey. I know you have all moved onto other things in life, but are you still open to speaking engagements? |
